INVESTIGACIÓN ACADÉMICA INTERNACIONAL EN TURISMO CREATIVO

Resumo

Dentro de la industria turística en los últimos años se observa el surgimiento de una nueva modalidad catalogada como turismo creativo, el cual se centra en el estudio de las experiencias que se ofertan al turista y de la posibilidad de participación de este como co-creador de su propia experiencia, contribuyendo a la satisfacción de sus nuevas necesidades por el autodescubrimiento personal. El presente trabajo realiza una revisión de la literatura académica sobre turismo creativo a través de un análisis bibliométrico que toma como referencia la base de datos SCOPUS con la finalidad de poder valorar la actividad científica, determinar las tendencias principales de investigación en este tema e identificar los gaps en la investigación. La metodología aplicada para su desarrollo es de carácter descriptiva-cuantitativa basada en los índices bibliométricos que rigen esta parte de la cienciometría. Se identificaron y analizaron 93 artículos durante el periodo 1997-2016, cuyos resultados muestran que es a partir de 2009 cuando empiezan a incrementarse considerablemente el número de publicaciones. Se observa un total de 145 autores diferentes con un promedio de 1,17 autores por trabajo, el 51,6% de los autores firman en solitario y destacan las revistas Annals of Tourism Research seguida de Tourism Management como principal medio de publicación. La explotación creativa de los recursos se evidencia como el principal enfoque seguido por los investigadores con 34 artículos.
